Vaisakhi Celebrations at GD Goenka Public School, Sirsa

GD Goenka Public School, Sirsa celebrated the vibrant festival of Vaisakhi with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour through a special assembly held in the school auditorium, which was beautifully transformed into a festive mela, radiating the true essence of Punjabi culture. The celebration commenced with a warm welcome of the esteemed management members and coordinators, followed by the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony, marking the beginning of the event on a positive and divine note. Students shared their valuable insights through the Word of the Day, Thought, Topic, and a beautifully recited Poem highlighting the importance of Vaisakhi as a harvest festival and its historical relevance in Sikhism. The highlight of the event was the energetic and foot-tapping performances of Giddha and Bhangra, where our young Goenkans lit up the stage with their vibrant costumes, synchronized steps, and electrifying energy, leaving the audience thoroughly enthralled and on their toes. Adding to the festive spirit, a soulful musical performance by the girls’ group won every heart. Their melodious voices created a magical atmosphere, prompting the audience to sing along and enjoy every beat. The celebration was a perfect blend of culture, joy, and learning. It not only allowed the students to connect with their roots but also created a lively and joyful environment.
