Praveshika Camp Day
Under the guidance of Hindustan Scouts and Guides, Day 1 of the Praveshika Camp began with great enthusiasm at G.D. Goenka Public School, Sirsa. The morning kicked off with a flag hoisting ceremony, graced by the presence of our respected Principal Ms. Shikha Sharma Attri and our young Goenkans. The students stood tall and proud as they sang the National Anthem, filling the campus with patriotic energy. Following the flag ceremony, the event shifted to the school auditorium, where the official welcome of the guests was conducted. Our honourable Principal Ma’am extended a warm greeting by presenting saplings as a symbol of growth, respect, and eco-consciousness. The experienced scout leaders then took the stage and introduced themselves to the students, creating an atmosphere of excitement and learning. The session progressed with engaging and skill-building activities, specially curated to enhance practical knowledge and team spirit among students. Students enthusiastically participated in: • Scout Scarf Making • Introduction to First Aid • Bandaging techniques using scarves • Hand stretcher making techniques – including Two-Hand, Three-Hand, and Four-Hand Stretchers These hands-on activities not only sparked curiosity but also empowered students with essential life-saving skills. The first day of the camp was a perfect blend of discipline, teamwork, and learning — setting a strong foundation for the days to come. The energy and participation of our Goenkans made the day truly memorable.
