POCSO ACT WORKSHOP AT GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL, SIRSA

GD Goenka Public School, Sirsa, conducted an enlightening workshop on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, led by Ms. Inayat Sood. The session aimed to educate students about their rights and the significance of safeguarding themselves against abuse and exploitation. Ms. Sood explained the key provisions of the POCSO Act in a student-friendly manner, emphasizing the importance of speaking up and seeking help in case of any inappropriate behavior. She also introduced the POCSO Committee of the school, comprising dedicated staff members who ensure a safe and secure environment for students. To further empower students, Ms. Sood shared the National Child Helpline Number – 1098, encouraging them to use it for reporting any incidents or seeking guidance. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, the workshop instilled confidence among students to recognize, resist, and report any form of abuse. GD Goenka Public School is committed to ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of its students and continues to organize such awareness programs as a vital step toward their safety. Together, let’s create a safe and supportive environment where every child feels protected and valued. Empowered students, safer schools!
