GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION AT GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL, SIRSA

GD Goenka Public School, Sirsa, celebrated the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and enthusiasm through a special assembly. The celebration commenced with a warm welcome to Respected Principal Ms. Shikha Sharma Attri and management members by the newly elected Primary Academic Prefects. The programme began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony in front of Maa Saraswati and Lord Ganesha, seeking their blessings to mark the start of the proceedings. The atmosphere turned devotional as students presented a soulful rendition of the bhajan ‘Deva Shree Ganesha’, filling the auditorium with spiritual fervor, where a beautifully adorned statue of Lord Ganesha was placed. Adding cultural vibrancy, students performed a graceful dance highlighting Maharashtrian traditions, depicting the festive spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Maharashtra. Their performance brought alive the colours of devotion and festivity. The little ones from Kindergarten added charm with their delightful dance on ‘Oh My Friend Ganesha’, leaving the audience mesmerised with their innocence and joy. The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by Principal Ms. Shikha Sharma Attri, who shared the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi and explained the teachings of Lord Ganesha—wisdom, patience, and humility. Her words motivated the students to imbibe these values in their daily lives. The assembly beautifully combined devotion, culture, and learning, making the festival a memorable experience for all Goenkans.
